Online gaming is a fun and engaging way to connect with millions of players. Many games that were earlier played in real life (like card and board games) with your closest friends can now be enjoyed online. This shift has led to gaming becoming more accessible to everyone, but it has come with its own set of challenges.

One of the biggest challenges in online gaming pertains to its addictive qualities. Online games being accessible at all times leads to many players developing unhealthy playing habits that can also have negative real-life impacts. This is where the concept of responsible gaming comes into play.

What is Responsible Gaming?

Responsible gaming in general means incorporating measures that ensure the right balance between fun and healthy, mindful choices. It includes measures for enforcing restraint by setting time limits, managing spending, and understanding the mental impact long hours of gaming can have. Responsible gaming is about encouraging players to practice self-discipline so gaming remains a fun activity and not a source of stress or financial strain.

RummyCulture is Fostering a Responsible Gaming Environment

RummyCulture is committed to fostering a safe and responsible gaming environment where all players can enjoy the thrill of competition, and also have a better grip on other important things. We are excited to introduce a series of new features designed to promote responsible gaming practices for the game of rummy, ensuring that our players enjoy a healthy and sustainable gaming experience.

Net Add Cash Limits

RummyCulture supports putting in place daily Net Add Cash limits. Players can set this limit for themselves, ensuring better control over spending. The day is considered from 12am to 11:59pm.

Net Add Cash = Add Cash amount – Withdrawal amount.

Let us understand this with examples:

a. Let’s say on 5 Jan 2024, you added cash worth ₹1,000 and withdrew ₹400. Then, your Net Add Cash amount for the day is ₹600.

b. Net Add Cash amount will reset on 5 Jan 2024 11:59pm and your Net Add Cash amount for 6 Jan 2024 will be back to ₹0.

What is the Daily Net Add Cash limit?

Daily Net Add Cash limit is the maximum Net Add Cash amount (Add Cash – Withdrawal) you can add to your account in a single day. Once you set this limit, you will not be able to change it for 48 hours.

Let us understand how the Daily Net Add Cash limit works:

Scenario 1: Player makes no withdrawal during the day

If your Daily Net Add Cash limit is set to ₹2,000 and your Net Add Cash amount is ₹1,800, then you can only add up to ₹200 for the rest of that day.

Scenario 2: Player makes a withdrawal during the day

Suppose a player sets a Daily Net Add Cash limit of ₹2,000 and adds a full ₹2,000. Now, they can’t make any more deposits the whole day.

But let’s say they make a withdrawal of ₹200 later that day. Now, the Net Cash becomes ₹2,000 – ₹200 = ₹1,800 for the day. Since the daily limit is ₹2,000, the player will still be able to add ₹200 more.

RummyCulture can also apply limits based on customer gaming behaviours.

Pause Gameplay Feature

Players on RummyCulture can now choose to temporarily pause their access to cash games and Add Cash for a predefined duration, ranging from 1 day to 15 days. This will allow for necessary breaks and help maintain a balanced gaming habit. Withdrawals can still be made during the pause.

Continuous Gameplay Limit

Continuous gameplay limit refers to the maximum time you spend playing cash games without taking a break. RummyCulture recommends its players to set this limit (2, 4, 6 or 8 hours) to prevent excessive or prolonged gaming sessions and promote better gaming habits. Once this limit is breached, the app informs the players. This limit can be changed any time through the app.

As it constantly evolves to provide an amazing gaming experience to its gamers, RummyCulture also aims to lead the industry in responsible gaming practices. Join us in promoting a safer and more responsible gaming environment, because gaming should just be fun!
